Why we chose them
Ghezzi Alimentari is a historic Tuscan fish preserves company founded in 1945. It is a family story that began with a small grocery shop opened by
Dante Ghezzi in the early 20th century, but which in the 1940s began to specialise in preserves thanks to the brothers Garibaldo and Licurgo, the
second generation of the family. Today, Ghezzi sees the third and fourth generations united at the helm of the company, which now focuses on the
processing of salt cod and stockfish, and the distribution of canned and semi-canned fish products. Ghezzi Alimentari offers a wide range of high-
quality products and has a solid network of partners that it has built up over the years both in Italy and abroad. This trust throughout the supply chain
allows Ghezzi to source the best fish and offer excellent products, working almost as a single entity. The company has several brands, including the
Acantilado line, which features high-quality Iberian raw materials, and Sangiolaro, which offers 100% Italian-made canned fish products.
