Appearance Medium-sized, well cleaned fillets with dark red flesh
Taste Fleshy, intense and savoury fillets, with notes of almond and slight iron undertones; no bitter notes are perceptible
Curiosity Sangiolaro anchovies are filleted strictly by hand and left to mature in salt for at least a year. Anchovies are rich in high-quality proteins, minerals and vitamins

Why we chose them
A historic Tuscan company founded in 1945 specialised in fish preserves. It all started with the commitment of Dante Ghezzi who decided to open a grocery shop in the early 1900s, and it was then in the 1940s that the family dedication focused on fish preserves. Today, the company is in its third generation, joined by the fourth. Ghezzi Alimentari has a wide range of products with a high quality assortment.
