SHORT PRODUCTION CHAIN, ARTISANAL SKILLS AND A RESPECT FOR TRADITION: THESE ARE JUST THREE OF THE KEY FEATURES OF KORBAN, A NEW YOGHURT AND KEFIR PRODUCER
Among the new products we have chosen to add to our range, there are some that tell a story of local heritage, relationships and a shared vision. This is certainly true for the yoghurt and kefir produced by Korban, an artisanal company based in the heart of the Langhe (Piedmont), which has found a way to make its name on the market through its own brand, Via Lattea.
The Korban agricultural company was founded in the hills of the Alta Langa, in Gorrino (CN), in a setting that has retained its authentic character, where livestock farming and dairy production follow natural rhythms and a genuinely short supply chain. Here, the cow’s milk comes from local farms, is collected daily and processed just a few kilometres away. It is precisely this proximity that makes the difference: it preserves the quality of the raw material and allows for direct control over every stage of production.
Korban’s Via Lattea yoghurt is born from this philosophy. It is a creamy, natural yoghurt, free from thickeners and added sugars, where the sweetness comes just from locally sourced and pasteurised milk. Its texture is one of the most distinctive features of this yoghurt.
Fermentation takes place without any acceleration, resulting in a rich texture and a balanced flavour profile, with a pleasant fresh note. There are 10 flavours available, ranging from classic to innovative: natural, apricot, strawberry, red berries, blueberry, hazelnut, pear and ginger, strawberry grape, citrus blossom, lemon and bergamot.
Available in a convenient 150 g PET jar, with a 35-day shelf life from production, packed in boxes of 6. The fruit preparations and other key ingredients are of Italian origin, mainly from Piedmont. You will find them at the bottom of the jar, so we recommend stirring gently to preserve the texture.
Alongside our yoghurt, we are also introducing a natural, lactose-free kefir. A fermented drink with a long-standing tradition, here in jars and in a contemporary version: with a creamy texture, a refreshing flavour and a subtle acidity that makes it extremely versatile. Perfect on its own, but also excellent as a pairing or as a base for light dishes.
What these products have in common is a clear vision: locally sourced milk, traditional production methods and a respect for the natural process, ensuring that consumers seeking high-quality yoghurt have a healthy and trustworthy option.
