KAZZEN - PANTELLERIA (TP) - SICILY
Why we chose them
Kazzen, a name that evokes a historic district, is a farm located on the island of Pantelleria. It is run by Marilena and Alessandro, who, since 2004,
have discovered the treasures and opportunities hidden within the cultivation of capers and Zibibbo grapes. Since then, they have devoted
themselves to promoting the island's extraordinary raw materials and the products they create from them following ancient local recipes and using
only extra virgin olive oil and salt, with absolutely no chemical preservatives. Their product range is wide, but the island's symbol is undoubtedly the
caper. In Pantelleria, in fact, caper cultivation is favoured by the volcanic soil and the warm climate, and has a long tradition evidenced by crops
dating back centuries and known since Roman times.
