Curiosity | For some years the Dairy Tre Cime has been carrying out the 'Latte haeno' project. For centuries, animal fodder has been produced with the rhythm of the seasons. In summer the farmers send their cattle to the meadows and the calves to the mountain huts. The grass is cut, dried and the hay obtained is brought to the farm to keep it for the cold season. With the tilling of the lawns comes promoted biodiversity, which is really important for the unique South Tyrolean landscape. On the pastures there is a great variety of herbs, the average is from 30 to 50 different types of grass that cows eat giving the milk a great variety of aromas. The feeding of the cows of which the milk, without GMO-containing feed, silage, fermented hay or wrapped bales. |
