Appearance The spring onion is whole, only deprived of the green part of the stem which is tougher. Chewing is easy and the texture is crunchy
Taste The taste is original and fresh, with light onion notes that integrate well with the moderately fruity extra virgin olive oil
Curiosity The spring onion consists of a small bulb and a stem composed of long leaves of bright green color. It is often confused with leeks or onions, but it is actually a variety that has not reached full maturity
Our selection The vegetables are of Italian origin and processed exclusively fresh; they do not come from brine or previous preserves. This principle is naturally followed by Macedonia dell'Orto: Stefano searches the market not only for fresh products, but also for vegetables and fruits at their best in terms of flavor, vitality, and ripeness. Why we chose them
Mattia and Stefano are the two partners of the young and small company of production of canned food born in Jesolo (VE) that unites their individual skills: the first - Mattia - is a cook and the second - Stefano - a fruit and vegetable merchant. Daily fresh fruit and vegetables are selected at the market or directly at the farmer by Stefano and worked in a small laboratory by Mattia, with respect and attention to the transformation. Everything is found in their preserves, simple and clean on the palate.
